What we publish

Aveno is a curated home for architecture and urbanism films — building studies, urbanism essays, vernacular craft, preservation, public space and design critique. Every film is selected by our curators and every filmmaker is credited.

Copyright clearance

We only stream films for which we hold the necessary rights or a licence from the rights holder. Filmmakers who submit work confirm that they own or control the rights to the film and everything in it (footage, music, contributors' consent). Copyright complaints are handled under our DMCA & copyright policy.

Prohibited content

We do not publish, and submissions must not contain:

AI disclosure

If a film uses generative-AI imagery, synthetic voices, or AI-reconstructed footage in a way a reasonable viewer should know about, filmmakers must disclose this when submitting, and we aim to label it for members. We don't pass off synthetic material as authentic documentary footage without disclosure.

Editorial independence

The daily ranking reflects our curators' judgement. We do not sell ranking positions, and the order is not set by an algorithm optimising for watch time. Placement is editorial, not paid.

Reporting a problem

If you think something on Aveno breaches this policy, email [email protected] (or [email protected] for copyright). We review reports and remove content that violates this policy.
